Stage ("we", "us") is an AI-augmented live Q&A platform, currently in development. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it — in plain language, because that's how we'd want it explained to us. Questions or requests: info@stagepoc.com.
This website (stagepoc.com). The landing page and public demo set no analytics or advertising cookies and require no account. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) processes standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — to serve and secure the site.
The interactive demo (/demo). Runs in your browser against bundled public datasets. If you paste a transcript or upload a dataset, that content is sent to Google's Vertex AI (Gemini) for live scoring and is not stored by us afterward.
Documentation access (/docs). Our team documentation is
access-controlled. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name,
email address, and profile photo, and we store your email on an access
list. If you request access, we store your email and any message you
include, and we're notified by email. Sign-in uses a session cookie
(__session) — the only cookie we set, used solely for
access control.
The Stage application. When you sign in with Google we create a profile: your name, email, photo, and Stage-specific fields (role, reputation and authority scores, participation counts). Content you submit (questions, votes) is stored and — this is the product — scored for substance and civility by Google's Gemini models.
Verifying your identity with a government ID is always optional — it raises the weight of your participation and unlocks identity-required sessions; declining never blocks ordinary use. If you choose to verify:
Stage's core features are built on Google Cloud's Vertex AI (Gemini models). Content you submit is processed under Google Cloud's data governance terms, which prohibit Google from using it to train their models. AI outputs that affect you (like idea-density scores) are used for ranking; identity verification is decided automatically from the extracted document facts, and you may retry at any time or contact info@stagepoc.com to contest an outcome.

Data is stored on Google Cloud (US, us-central1 region), encrypted in transit and at rest. Google acts as our infrastructure processor. We share data with no one else, except if the law requires it. Access within Stage is least-privilege: server processes run with minimal permissions, administrative actions are audit-logged, and client applications must pass integrity attestation (Firebase App Check) to reach our services.
Stage is not directed at children under 13, and identity verification is available only to holders of government-issued ID.
Stage is in active development; this policy will evolve with the product. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and signed-in users will be notified of significant changes.
